Abstract
This paper presents a multimodal approach for the non-invasive monitoring of induced melanoma growth in laboratory animals. The combination of high-frequency ultrasound, OCT, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, and optoacoustic tomography enables a comprehensive assessment of structural, vascular, and optical changes in biological tissues. It is demonstrated that the dynamics of diffuse reflectance spectra and scattering coefficient maps correlate with melanin accumulation and enhanced vascularization. The results confirmed a near-linear relationship between tumor volume and melanin mass. The proposed quantitative markers exhibit high sensitivity to the early stages of disease progression and can be utilized for the development of differential diagnosis algorithms.
