Methylene Blue as a Novel Optical Clearing Agent

Abstract
Methylene blue (MB) is a cationic dye with an absorption peak at ~664 nm. According to the Kramers–Kronig mechanism, MB can be used as an optical clearing agent in the near‑IR range. Objective: To experimentally study the optical clearing effect of aqueous solutions of MB. The work was supported by RSF grant 23-14-00287-P.
