Abstract
Tuberculosis remains one of the pressing healthcare challenges, especially in forms resistant to drug therapy. For the treatment of such cases, WHO recommends combination therapy including linezolid and levofloxacin. Linezolid is effective, but its use is limited by the risk of neurotoxic complications, making monitoring its concentration in the body essential.
QDs are nanocrystals with emission sensitive to environmental changes. In the presence of organic compounds, the emission spectra change, used as an analytical signal for calculating concentration.
In our work, we consider the possibility of using AgInS/ZnS quantum dots for the analysis of linezolid in the presence of levofloxacin. Special attention is paid to the selection of quantum dot concentration that provides sensitivity to linezolid while minimizing the influence of the co-administered drug on the recorded signal.
