Optical Quantum Cascad Lan ser on MIM-Stracture

Abstract
A quantum cascade laser based on a metal-insulator-metal structure is proposed, the heterostructure of which consists of diamond and metal films. The profile of the quantum potential in a quasi-periodic MIM heterostructure and the structure of metastable levels in quantum wells are investigated. A number of CCL configurations have been proposed. The possibility of generating radiation from the UV to THz range is theoretically shown.
