Abstract
The relevance of the work lies in the study of changes in the compact substance of the femoral part of the bone during phlegmon using Raman spectroscopy. There is no clear information about such changes in the literature. This issue is important for carrying out additional treatment for phlegmon and leveling complications related to bone tissue.
The aim is to use Raman spectroscopy to diagnose the state of the compact substance of the femoral bone in phlegmon.
The objects of research were samples of the compact substance of the femoral part of the human allogeneic bone, divided into 2 groups: conditionally healthy bone tissue and with the established diagnosis of phlegmon.
The study was carried out using an experimental stand that includes an RPB-785 laser probe, a LuxxMaster LML-785.0RB-04 laser (450 mW) and a Shamrock sr-303i spectrometer. Raman spectra in the range of 400-2200 cm⁻1 were analyzed. The data was processed in WolframMathematica 12.
The results showed changes in spectral lines ~432 cm-1, ~587 cm-1, ~957 cm-1, ~1044 cm-1, ~1068 cm-1, ~1264 cm-1, ~1417 cm-1, ~1443 cm-1, ~1555 cm-1,~1658 cm-1 associated with changes in the mineral-organic matrix of bone tissue. Such changes are probably due to the diffuse spread of an inflammatory nature in phlegmon, which is reflected in a decrease in the density and content of bone mineral components.
The results obtained will make it possible to adjust the treatment of patients with phlegmon with the involvement of drugs that restore not only soft but also bone tissue.
