ROUND TABLE: Top down education concept for hi-tech and natural sciences

Abstract
Classical education approach in natural science and technology is based on a bottom up way of studies beginning from fundamental, basic and thus general concepts towards practical realization and applications that determines actual specialization and skills of a student. The process resembles climbing to a mount from the bottom to its top. An immense foot of the mountain is built of necessary but outdated centuries proven physics that takes a lot of time to make familiar with. Then the way to the pinnacle with the increasing complexity becomes more and more difficult and steep. Finally, modern achievements, the top, are given for only a short time, a few hours of special courses in the final year of academic program. The student reaches the top of the educational process with his last strength. Now, with the rapid modern technology progress, the “mount” of required skills and views is growing so fast, that student actually has no chance to get the top from the bottom. Thus, we should begin the educational process from the top. And while standing at the pinnacle of his specialization student can overview the basics from the top and begin its move towards fundamentals along the right path and to the right depth. This is the top down concept of modern education we propose in the paper.
