Round Table Some aspects of the phenomenon of mentoring: from Aristotle to A. Badiou

Abstract
ROUND TABLE.The report presents the problem of mentoring, which the author defines based on the thoughts of Aristotle and A. Badiou. Three theses stand out. 1. Teaching is based on an understanding that is self-controlled, and only a push can be given from the outside. The mentor allows himself to outline a «path» and define certain ideas, but does not define them rigidly or unambiguously. 2. The path itself has focus (a vector of knowledge) from everyday life to universality. The mentor offers a method. 3. Knowledge is defined as an internal change in the learner, or a «change of mind». The mentor and the student mutually enrich each other during the learning process.
